She can't swim,
so he won't swim either 
when he's  with her.

They 're one of those exasperating couples 
you see at the beach
doing nothing but making out
for the entire time they spent there, 
driving everyone else crazy.
having people muttering indignantly,
''Get a room already!''

All over each other
under the hot sun
or under the shade of a beach umbrella.

Kissing,
laughing,
holding hands,
feeding each other,
smelling each other,
being cozy and lazy
together.

Oblivious of the world around them.
